HomeMy WebLinkAbout1977-105 CCR Member Maurice Britts introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 77 -105 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND APPROVING CONTRACT FORM (DEEP WELL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1976 -5 FURNISHING AND INSTALLING DEEP WELL TURBINE PUMP AND ELECTRIC MOTOR FOR WELL NO. 8). WHEREAS, the City Clerk and the City Engineer have reported that on May 23, 1977, at 11 :00 a.m., central daylight time, they opened and tabulated bids received for Deep Well Improvement Project No. 1976 -5 and that said bids were as follows: Base Stainless Steel Bidder Bid Shaft Alternate 1) Keys Well Drilling Company $13,295.00 $14,225.00 2) Tonka Equipment Company 15,115.00 16,920.00 3) Layne- Minnesota Company 15,138.00 18,125.00 4) McCarthy Well Company 16,350.96 19,348.35 5) Thein Well Company, Inc. 16,930.00 19,040.00 WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Director of Public Works to the satisfaction of the City Council that the bid of Keys Well Drilling Company, using the stainless steel pump line shaft alternate is the best bid submitted. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the bid of Keys Well Drilling Company in the amount of $14,225.00, as to furnishing of all work, labor, and material in connection with the above mentioned project, according to the plans and specifications therefor now on file in the office of the City Clerk, is deemed to be the lowest and best bid submitted for said work by a responsible bidder, and said bid is hereby accepted. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED to authorize the Mayor and City Manager to execute a contract with said bidder.
