HomeMy WebLinkAbout1977-106 CCR Member Gene Lhotka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 77 -106 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION IN GROUP HEALTH PLAN, INC. WHEREAS, State laws require that employers of 25 or more people which offer group hospitalization insurance programs to 'those employees must by January 1, 1978 offer an alternative health maintenance organization plan; and WHEREAS, the Group Health Plan, Inc. has clinic facilities located in Brooklyn Center; and WHEREAS, certain City employees have indicated a desire to participate in such a health maintenance organization plan: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center to authorize Brooklyn Center's affiliation with Group Health Plan, Inc. 'to provide health maintenance services for employees of the City of Brooklyn Center and their dependents effective June 1, 1977. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the current schedule of City employer contribution benefits to group health insurance similarly applies on behalf of those employees electing to participate in the health maintenance organization option.
