HomeMy WebLinkAbout1977-107 CCR Member Maurice Britts introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 77 -107 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION IN EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota through Hennepin County has provided financial subsidies to encourage employers to participate in an Employee Assistance Program; and WHEREAS, such a program is intended to assist individual employees with a broad range of human relations problems such as alcoholism, drug dependency, emotional problems, financial problems, and other similar personal problems; and WHEREAS, the program is based on the premise that such problems can adversely affect an employee's ability to function effectively on the job; and WHEREAS, through the program an employee can obtain initial diagnostic services at no charge without concern that participation will jeopardize the employee's job security, promotional opportunities nor reputation: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of 'the City of Brooklyn Center to authorize Brooklyn Center's participation in the Employee Assistance Program through June 30, 1978 at a cost not to exceed $1,500 during that period.
