HomeMy WebLinkAbout1976-147 CCR Member Bill Fignar introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 76 -147 RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION OF AND APPRECIATION FOR THE DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE OF THE BROOKLYN CENTER GARDEN CLUB WHEREAS, the Brooklyn Center Garden Club has, as a public service, annually undertaken the project of designing and planting decorative floral and plant arrangements for the Civic Center plaza area planter; and WHEREAS, in 1976 the Garden Club provided an exceptional flower and plant display commemorative of the Bicentennial celebration; and WHEREAS, the work and effort of the Brooklyn Center Garden Club in decorating this area is a source of civic pride that merits the gratitude of the citizens of Brooklyn Center. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that: The dedicated public service of the Brooklyn Center Garden Club for their efforts in decorating the Civic Center plaza area planter is recognized and appreciated by the City of Brooklyn Center. October 18, 1976 Date Mayor ATTEST: ���-1C Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Maurice Britts and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, and Robert Jensen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
