HomeMy WebLinkAbout1976-154 CCR Member Robert Jensen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 76 -154 RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION OF AND APPRECIATION FOR THE DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE OF MRS. MARY STIRE WHEREAS, Mrs. Mary Stire served as a member of the Human Rights Commission from February, 1976 through September, 1976; and WHEREAS, her devotion to the tasks and responsibilities of this Commission contributed substantially to the sound progress and development of the City; and WHEREAS, her public service and civic effort for the betterment of the community merit the gratitude of the citizens of Brooklyn Center. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that: The dedicated public service of Mrs. Mary Stire as a member of the Human Rights Commission and citizen is recognized and appreciated by the City of Brooklyn Center. November 22, 1976! 1 Date Mayor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Fignar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, and Robert Jensen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
