HomeMy WebLinkAbout1976-165 CCR Member Robert Jensen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 76 -162 RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE MIDWEST FEDERAL SAVINGS AND LOAN ASSOCIATION A DEPOSITORY OF CITY FUNDS BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the Midwest Federal Savings and Loan Association be and is hereby designated as a depository for the funds of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota. The City Treasurer is authorized to deposit City funds therein to the extent that repayment is guaranteed by the Federal Savings and Loan Insurance Corporation. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the persons generally authorized by the City Charter to act for the City in any of its business with the association are any persons holding office from time to time as City Manager and City Treasurer. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is Donald G. Poss, and the City Treasurer is Paul W. Holmlund. I BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this designation is effective through December 31, 1976. November 22, 1976 Date Mayor 1 ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Maurice Britts and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, and Robert Jensen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. Member Tony Kuefler introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 76 -165 RESOLUTION REGARDING DISPOSITION OF PLANNING COMMISSION APPLICATION NO. 76056 WHEREAS, Planning Commission Application No. 76056 was submitted by Mr. T. L. Willard on October 14, 1976 requesting special use permission for a home occupation involving the use of an accessory s'truc'ture at 6825 Drew Avenue North; and WHEREAS, 'testimony both for and against 'the request was heard by the Planning Commission at the duly called public hearing on October 28, 1976; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission recommended approval of the application by the City Council; and WHEREAS, the item was considered by the City Council at a duly called public hearing on November 8, 1976; and WHEREAS, the standards for Special Use Permits set forth in Section 35 -220 of the City Ordinances provide, in part, 'that establishment, maintenance, or operation of the special use will promote 'the general welfare and will not be detrimental 'to or endanger the public health, safety, morals or comfort; and, that 'the special use will not be injurious to the use and enjoyment of other property in the immediate vicinity for the purposes already permitted, nor substantially diminish and impair property values within the neighborhood; and WHEREAS, Application No. 76056 meets such standards; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that Planning Commission Application No. 76056 submitted by T. L. Willard is hereby approved, subject to the following conditions: 1 The special use as comprehended by the approved application is subject to annual review. 2. Review of the special use will be for purposes of assuring it is conducted consistent with the ordinance standards for Special Use Permits, and especially with respect 'to activity levels, light, and noise.
