HomeMy WebLinkAbout1976-070 CCR Member Maurice Britts introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 76 -70 RESOLUTION REQUESTING ADDITION OF PEDESTRIAN RAMP TO PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE PROJECT ON T.H. 152 OVER T.H. 100 WHEREAS, on February 23, 1976, the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center entered into Agreement No. 58162, with the State of Minnesota, Department of Highways, for the purpose of constructing pedestrian bridges along T. H. 152 over T. H. 100, concrete sidewalk approaches to said pedestrian bridges, and other miscellaneous appurtenances along and adjacent to the T.H. 152 approach area under State Project No. SP 2742 -27 (T.H. 152 -129); and WHEREAS, subsequent to the approval of plans for said project, the City of Brooklyn Center has received a request from the Brookdale Covenant Church for the construction of a sidewalk ramp connecting one of the said concrete sidewalk approaches on the southwest side of T. H. 152 with No. Lilac Drive; and WHEREAS, Section A. of Article IV of said Agreement stipulates that the City may by duly adopted City Council resolution request a change or changes in the plan. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the City hereby requests the State of Minnesota to amend the plans for State Project No. 2742 -27 (T.H. 152= 129) by constructing a pedestrian ramp connecting the concrete side- walk approach on the southwest side of T.H. 152 with No. Lilac Drive in accordance with Cooperative Construction Agreement #58162. N Mav 24. 1976 Date Mayor ATTEST: 'Cle'rk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Fignar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, and Robert Jensen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
