HomeMy WebLinkAbout1976-077 CCR Member Tony Kuefler introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 76 -77 RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 1976 GENERAL FUND BUDGET WHEREAS, on May 3, 1976, the City Council did approve a Grandview Park Improvement Program and directed the City Manager to prepare an amendment to the 1976 General Fund Budget to authorize an appropriation for said program; and WHEREAS, Section 7.11 of the City Charter does provide the City Council with full authority to make permanent transfers between all funds which may be created, provided that such transfers are not inconsistent with the provisions of relevant covenants, the provisions of the City Charter, or State Statutes; and WHEREAS, funds are available in the FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING FUND in the amount of at least $4,300 to be transferred for GENERAL FUND use; and WHEREAS, Section 7.08 of the City Charter does provide for the increase of a budget appropriation by the City Council if the actual receipts exceed the estimates: BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that the Park Maintenance (Dept. #69) Other Improvements Account #4530) appropriation be increased by $4,300 to provide the funds necessary for the Grandview Park Improvement Program; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the increased appropriation shall be financed by federal revenue sharing funds and that funds in the FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING FUND shall be encumbered in the amount of $4,300; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the actual transfer of funds will be made from the FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING FUND to the GENERAL FUND on a reim- bursement basis at such time, and by Council Resolution when the GENERAL FUND has expended funds for the appropriation authorized.
