HomeMy WebLinkAbout1976-078 CCR Member Tony Kuefler introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 76 -78 RESOLUTION APPROVING HENNEPIN EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS ORGANIZATION TOINT POWERS AGREEMENT WHEREAS, on April 21, 1975 the City Council adopted Resolution No. 75 -82 authorizing participation in the planning of an enhanced county- wide public safety communications systems including the "911" emergency telephone reporting component; and WHEREAS, such planning effort was to include development of recommendations leading to the development of a representative communica- tions systems user board; and WHEREAS, such planning has been accomplished and a joint Powers Agreement proposed which would create an organization to be known as Hennepin Emergency Communications Organization (HECO) NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center to approve Brooklyn Center's participation in the joint powers organization and to authorize the Mayor and City Manager to execute the Joint and Cooperative Agreement creating the Hennepin Emergency Communications Organization. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that under the terms of the proposed agreement City Manager Donald Poss is hereby appointed as Brooklyn Center Director to the organization and Deputy Chief of Police James Lindsay is appointed as Alternate Director. Tune 14. 1976 Date Mayor ATTEST: ��lerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Fignar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, and Robert Jensen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
