HomeMy WebLinkAbout1976-091 CCR Member Robert Jensen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 76 -91 RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION OF AND APPRECIATION FOR THE DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE OF MR. TOHN MARTINSEN, WHEREAS, Mr. John Martinsen served as a member of the Human Rights Commission from January, 1971 through June, 1976; and WHEREAS, his devotion to the tasks and responsibilities of this Commission contributed substantially to the sound progress and development of the City; and WHEREAS, his public service and civic effort for the betterment of the community merit the gratitude of the citizens of Brooklyn Center. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that: The dedicated public service of Mr. John Martinsen as a member of the Human Rights Commission and citizen is recognized and appreciated by the City of Brooklyn Center. Tulv 12. 1976 Date Mayor ATTEST: --�-t ``Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Maurice Britts and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, and Robert Jensen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
