HomeMy WebLinkAbout1976-012 CCR Member Tony Kuefler introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 76 -12 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF FOURTEEN TREES WHEREAS, Chapter 471.345 of the Minnesota Statutes provides for the purchase of merchandise, materials or equipment, or any kind of construction work by informal quotations when the amount of such contract is less than five thousand dollars ($5,000); and WHEREAS, the City Manager has obtained quotations on the purchase of 5 6" Green Ash trees, 1 8" Green Ash tree, 3 5 -1/2" Sugar Maple trees, 4 12 -14" Blue Spruce trees and 1 5" Green Ash tree and has determined that the quotation of Instant Shade in the amount of $3,900 for 14 trees of various sizes and species is the best quotation submitted: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the City Manager be authorized to contract for the purchase of 5 6" Green Ash trees $250 each, 1 8" Green Ash tree $325; 3 5 -1/2" Sugar Maple trees $275 each, 4 12 -14" Blue Spruce trees $325 each, and 1 5" Green Ash tree 200 in the t 900 fr m Instant Shade, January 12, 1976 Date 7Mayor ATTEST: -s-� Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Fignar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, and Robert Jensen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted,
