and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 76 -23
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF ONE 3/4 TON
PICK -UP TRUCK FOR THE PUBLIC UTILITY DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has recommended and
the City Manager concurs, that Public Utilities Unit #623, a 7 year
old, 3/4 ton pick -up, be replaced because it is uneconomical to
repair; and
WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center is authorized to participate
in the Hennepin County Purchasing Agreement; and
WHEREAS, on Tuesday, December 2, 1975, at 2:00 p.m., bids
were received for the furnishing of one 3/4 ton pick -up.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Brooklyn Center that the bid of North Star Dodge in the amount of
$4,103.71 for the furnishing of one 1976 Dodge 3/4 ton pick -up in
accordance with the specifications is deemed to be the best bid
submitted by a responsible bidder and said bid is hereby accepted.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by member Robert Jensen and upon vote being taken
thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen,
Maurice Britts, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, and Robert Jensen;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
