HomeMy WebLinkAbout1976-034 CCR Member Maurice Britts introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 76 -34 RESOLUTION RATIFYING 1976 CONTRACT TERMS AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT WITH LOCAL NO. 49, INTERNATIONAL UNION OF OPERATING ENGINEERS WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that tentative agreement has been reached between the negotiating committees representing the Metropolitan Area Management Association on behalf of participating employer municipalities and Local No. 49, International Union of Operating Engineers; and WHEREAS, the terms of said tentative agreement on 1976 contract provisions have been ratified by the membership of Local No. 49 on February 9, 1976; and WHEREAS, the City Council accepts the City Manager's recommendation that the terms of the tentative contract agreement be ratified. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center to agree to the incorporation of the following terms and conditions of employment in the 1976 collective bargaining agreement with Local No. 49, International Union of Operating Engineers: 1. Length of Contract. The agreement shall be for a period of one year with all terms and conditions retroactive to January 1, 1976 and an expiration date of December 31, 1976. 2. Wages. Effective January 1, 1976 $1,000 per year across the board shall be applied to 1975 salaries for all job classifications in the bargaining unit. 3. Vacations. Effective January 1, 1976 vacations shall accrue at the rate of four weeks per year after fifteen years of service have been completed. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Manager be authorized to execute a 1976 collective bargaining agreement with Local No. 49, International Union of Operating Engineers incorporating said terms and conditions of employment.
