HomeMy WebLinkAbout1976-039 CCR Member Maurice Britts introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 76 -39 RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING THE WEEK OF MARCH 7, 1976 THROUGH MARCH 13, 1976 AS "GIRL SCOUTS WEEK" IN BROOKLYN CENTER, MINNESOTA WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes that the Girl Scouts of the United States of America and Girl Scouts in ninety other countries of the free world are observing their sixty- fourth birthday on March 12, 1976; and WHEREAS, the Girl Scouts promise on their honor to serve God, to be good citizens, to help others whenever they are needed, and to live by the Girl Scout Law everyday in all that they do; and WHEREAS, the City Council supports the endeavors and pursuits of this organization of young women. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that: The week of March 7, 1976 through March 13, 1976 is proclaimed "Girl Scout Week" throughout Brooklyn Center, Minnesota. March 8; 1976 Date ATTEST: �Cl erk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Fignar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, and Robert Jensen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
