HomeMy WebLinkAbout1976-047 CCR Member Maurice Britts introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 76 -47 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF CHAIN LINK FENCE MATERIAL WHEREAS, Section 6.05 of the City Charter of the City of Brooklyn Center requires that the City Manager first obtain the approval of the City Council prior to making or letting contracts for the purchase of merchandise, materials or equipment, or any kind of construction work when the amount of such contract exceeds one thousand dollars ($1,000) but is less than twenty -five hundred dollars ($2,500); and WHEREAS, the City Manager has obtained quotations on the purchase of chain link fence material and has determined that the quotation of Crown Iron Works Company in the amount of $2,461 for 1300 ft. 48" x 11 gauge chain link fence and 12 end posts is the best quotation submitted: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the City Manager be authorized to contract for the purchase of 1300 ft. 48" x 11 gauge chain link fence and 12 end posts in the amount of 2,4 61 from Crown Iron Works Company March 8, 1976 Date Mayor ATTEST: C leek The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Fignar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, and Robert Jensen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
