HomeMy WebLinkAbout1976-058 CCR Member Maurice Britts introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 76 -58 RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION OF AND APPRECIATION FOR THE DEDICATED PUBLIC U LIC SERVICE OF MR. LEON KNIGHT WHEREAS, Mr. Leon Knight served as a member of the Bicentennial Commission from January, 1975 through April, 1976; and WHEREAS, his devotion to the tasks and responsibilities of this Commission contributed substantially to the sound progress and development of the City; and WHEREAS, his public service and civic effort for the betterment of the community merit the gratitude of the citizens of Brooklyn Center: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that: The dedicated public service of Mr. Leon Knight as a member of the Bicentennial Commission and citizen is recognized and appreciated by the City of Brooklyn Center. Aoril 19, 1976 Date Mayor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Tony Kuefler and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, and Robert Jensen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
