HomeMy WebLinkAbout1976-060 CCR Member Robert Jensen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption; RESOLUTION NO. 76 -60 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF TENNIS COURTS LIGHTING AGREEMENT WITH BROOKLYN CENTER SCHOOL DISTRICT WHEREAS, on October 6, 1975, the City Council approved the 1976 annual budget, which appropriated $7,500.00 for financing 50% of the cost of installing tennis courts lighting at the Brooklyn Center High School. WHEREAS, on March 8, 1976, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 76 -44 which indicated the City's intent to enter into an agreement with Independent School District No. 286 (Brooklyn Center) for installing tennis courts lighting at the Brooklyn Center High School. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota as follows: 1. That the City enter into an agreement with Independent School District No. 286 (Brooklyn Center) for the purpose of installation, maintenance and operation of lighting for and public operation of eight (8) tennis courts on the school district property located at 65th Avenue North and Dupont Avenue North, in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth and contained in said agreement, a copy of which was before the Council. 2. That the Mayor and City Manager be and they hereby are authorized to execute said tennis courts lighting agreement. April 19, 1976 Date Mayor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Maurice Britts and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, and Robert Jensen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
