HomeMy WebLinkAbout1976-063 CCR Member Tony Kuefler introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 76 -63 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR STABILIZED GRAVEL AND FINE AGGREGATE FOR SEAL COAT WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and the City Clerk have reported that on April 27, 1976, at 11 :00 a.m., they opened and tabulated bids received for the furnishing of stabilized gravel and fine aggregate for seal coat and that said bids were as follows: Class #5 Class #5 FA -1 FA -2 FA -3 FA -3 Gravel Gravel Sand Buckshot Trap Rock Trap Rock Bidder Del. P.U. P.U. P.U. Del. P.U. A B Aggregate $2.05 $1.10 Anderson Aggregate 1.75 1.03 .63 2.48 Barton Contracting 1.97 1.12 .67 2.43 Bryan Dresser 8.90 6.00 Buesing Bros. 1.99 C. S. McCrossan 2.55 1.05 J. L. Shiely 7.48 4.25 WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has recommended and the City Manager concurs that lower bid prices may be received for FA -3 Trap Rock by modification of the specifications; and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City of Brooklyn Center to reject the bids received for FA -3 Trap Rock. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the bid received for FA -3 Trap Rock is hereby rejected. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the bid of Anderson Aggregate for the furnishing of Class #5 gravel and FA -1 sand in accordance with the specifications is deemed to be the best bid submitted by a responsible bidder and said bid is hereby accepted. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the bid of Barton Contracting for the furnishing of FA -2 buckshot in accordance with the specifications is deemed to be the best bid submitted by a responsible bidder and said bid is hereby accepted.
