HomeMy WebLinkAbout1976-064 CCR Member Bill Fignar introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 76 -64 RESOLUTION PERTAINING TO SIGN REPLACEMENT PROGRAM PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT WHEREAS, under the Federal Highway Safety Act of 1966, one of the objectives set forth by the Department of Transportation is the conformance of all traffic control devices to the National Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways (MUTCD); and WHEREAS, funds are available from the Federal Highway Admin- istration through the State of Minnesota Department of Highways for the replacement of non standard devices. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center as follows: 1) The City of Brooklyn Center enter into an agreement to participate with the Federal Highway Administration and the State of Minnesota Department of Highways in a project for correcting regulatory and warning sign deficiencies on County Roads and municipal streets. 2) The Mayor and City Manager be and they are hereby authorized to execute such an agreement and thereby assume for and on behalf of the City of Brooklyn Center all of the contractual obligations therein. 3) The City Manager is hereby designated as the City official authorized to claim federal reimbursement. May 3, 1976 Date Mayor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Maurice Britts and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts, Tony Kuefler, and Bill Fignar; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
