HomeMy WebLinkAbout1975-019 CCR Member Tony Kuefler introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 75 -19 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF ONE (1) RUBBER TIRED WHEEL TRACTOR WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of Public Works have reported that on December 19, 1974 at 11:00 a.m. they opened and tabulated bids received for furnishing and delivery of one rubber tired wheel tractor and that said bids were as follows: BIDDER BID PRICE LESS TRADE NET AMOUNT (Optional) Case Power Equip. Co. $10,488.00 $2,200.00 8,288.00 (Ca s e) Midway Tractor Equip. $11,317.00 $1,350.00 9,967.00 (Ford) A M Industrial Tractor $12,149.00 $2,000.00 $10,149.00 (International) Valley Equipment Company $15,779.00 $2,300.00 $13,479.00 (John Deere) WHEREAS, it is determined, upon recommendation of the City Manager, that the bid of Case Power Equipment Company is disqualified for failure to meet minimum specifications; and WHEREAS, the specifications provide for an option whether or not to accept the trade -in allowance; and WHEREAS, Brooklyn Center School District No. 286 has made a written offer to purchase the trade -in tractor for the allowance quoted at $1 350.00: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the bid of Midway Tractor Equipment in the amount of $11 317.00 for furnishing and delivering one rubber tired wheel tractor is deemed to be the best bid submitted by a responsible bidder and said bid is hereby accepted. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED to authorize sale of the proposed trade -in tractor to Brooklyn Center School District No. 286 for $1,350.00.
