HomeMy WebLinkAbout1975-021 CCR Member Tony Kuefler introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 75 -21 RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 74 -209 AWARDING INSURANCE CONTRACTS WHEREAS, the City Council, on December 23, 1974, did award an insurance contract for umbrella liability insurance to Wellmans' Associates, Inc. and Gulf Insurance Company; and WHEREAS, said award was contained in Resolution No. 74 -209 which awarded insurance contracts for various insurance coverages; and WHEREAS, Wellmans' Associates, Inc, has notified the City that since their insurance proposal was submitted as a package, and since the umbrella liability coverage was only a part of that package, that the Gulf Insurance Company has declined the City's contract award for umbrella liability insurance coverage; and WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Director of Finance that the proposal submitted by the Associated General.Agency and Zurich Insurance is the next best proposal submitted for umbrella liability insurance; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center as follows: 1 Rescind the December 23, 1974 award of the umbrella liability insurance contract to Wellmans' Associates, Inc. and Gulf Insurance Company. 2. Accept the proposal and award the umbrella liability insurance contract to Associated General Agency and The Zurich Insurance Company for insurance commencing January 1, 1975, for three years at an estimated annual premium of $4,200. Tanuary 6. 1975 Date Mayor ATTEST: clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Robert Jensen and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar and Robert Jensen; and the following voted agafnst the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
