HomeMy WebLinkAbout1975-029 CCR Member Maurice Britts introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 75 -29 RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION OF AND APPRECIATION FOR THE DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE OF MR. RICHARD MERO WHEREAS, Mr. Richard Mero served as a member of the Human Rights Commission from February 8, 1972 through December 31, 1974; and WHEREAS, his devotion to the tasks and responsibilities of the Commission contributed substantially to the sound progress and development of the City; and WHEREAS, his public service and civic effort for the better ment of the community merit the gratitude of the citizens of Brooklyn Center: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that: The dedicated public service of Mr. Richard Mero as a member of the Human Rights Commission and citizen is recognized and appreciated by the City of Brooklyn Center. l January 20, 1975 Date Mayor ATTEST: /J Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Robert Jensen and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar and Robert Jensen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
