HomeMy WebLinkAbout1975-048 CCR Member Maurice, Britts introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 75 -48 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A BLUE LINE PRINTING MACHINE WHEREAS, Section 605 of the City Charter of the City of Brooklyn Center does require that the City Manager must first obtain the approval of the City Council prior to making or letting contracts for the purchase of merchandise, materials, or equipment, or any kind of construction work, when the amount of such contract exceeds one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) but is less than twenty -five hundred dollars ($2,500,00); and WHEREAS, the City Manager has obtained quotations on the purchase of one Blu -Ray Model 121 blue line printing machine, and has determined that the quotation of H. A. Rogers Company in the amount of $1,147.50, with a trade -in allowance of $160.00 for the City's currently owned Model 842 Blu- Ray blue line printing machine, is the best quotation submitted; and WHEREAS, the City has option of whether or not to accept the trade -in allowance; and WHEREAS, the City of Maple Grove has made a written offer to purchase the trade -in blue line printing machine for the amount quoted at $160,00; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the City Manager be authorized to contract for the purchase of one (1) Blu -Ray Model 121 blue line printing machine in the amount of $1,147.50 from H. A. Rogers Company. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED to authorize the sale of the proposed trade -in blue line printing machine to the City of Maple Grove for $160.00. February 24, 1975 00� Date ,f Mayor ATTEST: r Cl e rk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Tony Kuefler and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts, Tony Kuefler and Robert Jensen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
