HomeMy WebLinkAbout1975-044 CCR Member Robert Jensen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 75 -44 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING BROOKLYN CENTER PARTICIPATION IN HENNEPIN COUNTY ALCOHOL SAFETY ACTION PROTECT WHEREAS, Brooklyn Center has successfully participated the past three years in the Hennepin County Alcohol Safety Action Project; and WHEREAS, the project has appeared to effectively focus public and governmental concern upon the problem of driving while under the influence of alcohol as well as effectively encouraging development of new apprehension procedures and alcohol related treatment procedures; and WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota has entered into a contract with the U. S. Department of Transportation to continue the conduct of an Alcohol Safety Action Program in Hennepin County and further proposes to enter into an agreement with the City of Brooklyn Center whereby Brooklyn Center will continue participating in the project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota to approve the proposed agreement with the State of Minnesota to conduct an Alcohol Safety Action Program in Hennepin County and to authorize the Mayor and City Manager cu such agreement. February 24, 1975 Date Mayor r 7 ATTEST: �-R- CI6A The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Maurice Britts and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts, Tony Kuefler and Robert Jensen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
