HomeMy WebLinkAbout1974-210 CCR Member Maurice Britts introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 74 -210 RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 1974 GENERAL FUND BUDGET, WHEREAS, Section 7.09 of the City Charter of the City of Brooklyn Center does provide for a contingency appropriation as a part of the General Fund Budget and further provides that the contingency appropriation may be transferred to any other appropriation by the City Council; and WHEREAS, Section 7.08 of the City Charter does also provide for the increase of a budget appropriation by the City Council if the actual receipts exceed the estimates: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the 1974 General Fund Budget be amended as follows: 1 Transfer $20,300 from the Mayor and Council's Contingency Fund Appropriation (Account No. 401 -48) to the following departmental appropriations in the amounts shown: Mayor and Council (Professional Consulting Fees) $7,000 Mayor and Council (Subscriptions and Memberships) 2,700 Independent Auditing (Professional Consulting Fees) 2,100 Legal Counsel (Professional Consulting Fees) 8,000 Animal Control (Professional Consulting Fees) 500 2. Increase the appropriations for the following departments in the amount listed for the reason that the actual receipts from the activity exceeded the budget revenue estimate by at least the amount of the appropriation increase: Planning and Inspection (Professional Consulting Fees) $8,000 Parks and Recreation (Adult Programs) 9,000 Conservation of Health (Weed Eradication, Professional Consulting Fees) 1,000 Dp.ce 23 197A Date Mayor ATTEST: 'Clerk RESOLUTION NO. 74 -210 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Fignar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar and Robert Jensen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
