Grade advances within Council authorized limits shall be at the discretion of the City Manager. Merit steps shall only be awarded with express approval of the City Council. Intervals: Grades 1 through 21 equals 2 -1/2 Grades 21 through 25 equals 5 Steps A through E equals approximately 5 PART III: LIQUOR STORES (Hourly Rates) Steps A B C D Clerk stockers, Part -time 2.45 2.67 2.89 3.10 Cashiers, Part -time 2.30 2.52 2.74 2.95 Normal Proaression: A is starting salary, succeeding steps represent six month intervals. Notwithstanding the progression shown in all parts of the Position Classification Plan which represents typical advancement, the City Manager is authorized to hire and advance within the maximum limitation set for a position as the situation warrants BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be authorized to employ such temporary part -time and temporary full -time employees as may be necessary, and to establish competitive rates of pay for such help consistent with the 1975 budget appropriations; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the salary adjustments not to exceed the maximums contained herein, shall become effective Ja 97 December 23. 1974 Date Mayor v ATTEST: Plerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Fignar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts, Bill Fignar, Tony Kuefler, and Robert Jensen and the following voted against the same: none; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
