HomeMy WebLinkAbout1975-154 CCR Member Tony Kuefler introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 75 -154 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF FOUR SETS OF SELF CONTAINED BREATHING APPARATUS WHEREAS, Section 6:05 of the City Charter of the City of Brooklyn Center requires that the City Manager first obtain the approval of the City Council prior to making or letting contracts for the purchase of merchandise, materials or equipment, or any kind of construction work when the amount of such contract exceeds one thousand dollars ($1,000) but is less than twenty five hundred dollars ($2,500); and WHEREAS, the City Manager has obtained quotations on the purchase of four sets of self- contained breathing apparatus and has determined that the quotation of Akins Fire Equipment Company in the amount of $1,760 for four sets of self contained breathing apparatus is the best quotation submitted: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the City Manager be authorized to contract for the purchase of four sets of self contained breathing apparatus in the amount of $1,760 from Akins Fire Equipment Compa-Rry-. August 4, 1975 Date Mayor ATTEST: Clerk" The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Robert Jensen and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar and Robert Jensen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
