HomeMy WebLinkAbout1975-170 CCR Member Maurice Britts introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 75 -170 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING QUOTATION FOR IDENTIFICATION SIGN FOR LIQUOR STORE #2 AT BROOKLYN BLVD. 63RD AVENUE NORTH WHEREAS, the City Manager has obtained quotations for the construction of an identification sign for Municipal Liquor Store #2 located at Brooklyn Boulevard and 63rd Avenue North, and said quota- tions were as follows: Firm Alternate A Alternate "B" Alternate "C" 1) Kaufman Outdoor Advertising $1,474.00 $3,485.00 $1,938.00 2) Lawrence Signs, Inc. $1,790.00 $3,793.00 $2,680.00 3) Nordquist Sign Co. $1,845.00 $3,930.00 $2,820.00 4) LeRoy Sign Company $2,189.50 $3,952.13 $2,621.62 and WHEREAS, it is estimated that the electrical hook -up for said sign is approximately $500.00; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota., as follows: 1) The quotation of Kaufman Outdoor Advertising Company in the amount of $1,474.00 for Alternate "A as to furnishing of all work, labor, and materials in connection with the construction of one (1) identification sign for Liquor Store #2 lo' -cated at Brooklyn Boulevard and 63rd. Avenue North, according to the plans and specifi- cations therefor now on file in the office of the City Clerk, is deemed to be the lowest and best quotation submitted for said work, and said.quotation is hereby accepted. 2) The Mayor and City Manager shall be authorized to execute a contract with Kaufman Outdoor Advertising Company in the amount of $1,474.00. 3) The above expenditure of $1,974.00 shal be appropriated from Liquor Store Operating Funds. Augu 18. 1975 Date r °f Mayor ATTEST: f Li Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Robert Jensen and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar and Robert Jensen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
