HomeMy WebLinkAbout1975-186 CCR Member Tony Kuefler introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 75 -186 RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 74 -217 RELATING TO 1975 POLICE DEPARTMENT WAGES WHEREAS, on December 23, 1974, the Brooklyn Center City Council adopted Resolution No. 74 -215 approving the collective bargaining agreement between the Brooklyn Center Police Association and the City of Brooklyn Center pursuant to the provisions of the Public Employment Labor Relations Act of 1971 as amended in 1973; and WHEREAS, said contract provided for an Appendix A which established wages; and WHEREAS, said Appendix A contained the following condition: *To the extent 1975 "top patrol" (after three year rate) wage rate agreed between Teamsters Local #320 /Metro Area Managers Association exceeds 1198, employer agrees to increase salary of grade P/G (top patrol) to a like amount and to increase all other patrol officer grades and other Appendix A position salaries by the resulting P/G (top patrol) percentage increase. Such increase shall be applied retroactively to the extent the Local 320 wage settlement is retroactive.) and WHEREAS, on August 1 1975 an arbitration panel pursuant to the provisions of the Public Employment Labor Relations Act of 1971 as amended in 1973 awarded the Teamsters Local #320 patrol officers the following wage adjustment: "The 1974 benchmark rate is to be adjusted in 1975 with two staggered steps (1) from 1089 to 1200 retroactive to January 1 1975; and (2) an adjustment to 1230 effective July 1 1975. As to differential pay for investigators, effective July 1 1975 any personnel in the bargaining unit assigned investigative duty, either full or part -time, shall receive a $75 monthly wage differential.
