HomeMy WebLinkAbout1975-205 CCR Member Maurice Britts introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 75 -205 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND APPROVING CONTRACT FORM FOR STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENT (CONTRACT 1975 -D) WHEREAS, the City Clerk and the City Engineer have reported that on October 20, 1975, at 11 :00 o'clock A.M., central daylight time, they opened and tabulated bids received for Contract 1975 -D, for Storm Sewer Improvement Project No. 1975 -6 and Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project No. 1975 -8; and WHEREAS, a certain currently unattainable agreement with the affected property owner requires the deletion of Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project No. 1975 -8; and WHEREAS, the said bids for Storm Sewer Improvement Project No. 1975 -6 were as follows: 1) Rolstad Plumbing and Heating $5,448.50 2) United Water and Sewer 5,519.50 3) Frank D. Sherman Contracting 6,828.00 4) Environmental Utilities, Inc. 6,920.00 5) Ko -son Piping Company 7,180.00 6) De -Luxe Construction, Inc. 7,546.72 7) White Construction Co. 7,837.50 8) Northdale Construction Co., Inc. 9,370.00 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that the bid of Rolstad Plumbing and Heating, in the amount of $5,448.50 as to furnishing of all work, labor and material in connection with Storm Sewer Improvement Project No. 1975 -6, according to the plans and specifications therefor now on file in the office of the City Clerk, is deemed to be the lowest and best bid submitted for said work by a responsible bidder, and said bid is hereby accepted. B'E IT FURTHER RESOLVED to authorize the Mayor and City Manager to execute a contract with said b' for said improvement project. October 20, 1975 Date Mayor ATTEST:/r� Clerk RESOLUTION NO. 75 -205 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Fignar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar and Robert Jensen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
