HomeMy WebLinkAbout1975-230 CCR Member Maurice Britts introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 75 -230 RESOLUTION CREATING THE NORTHWEST HENNEPIN HUMAN SERVICES COUNCIL THROUGH A JOINT AND COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WHEREAS, the northwest quadrant of Hennepin County is in a state of continuing development and transition; and WHEREAS, such development and transition implies an accompanying need for services to the citizens of the area; and WHEREAS, it is desirable to avoid duplication and fragmentation in the development and implementation of human services; and WHEREAS, the Northwest Human Services Council has endeavored to provide planning and coordination to avoid such duplication and fragmentation; and WHEREAS, the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners has qualified the future funding of such coordinative efforts to the effect that municipalities participate in the adoption of a Joint and Cooperative Agreement: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center to authorize entry into a Joint and Cooperative Agreement to create a Northwest Hennepin Human Services Council which shall be the suc- cessor to the Northwest Human Services Council, and to authorize the Mayor and City Manager to execute the agreement; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Brooklyn Center hereby desig- nates Donald Poss as its director and Ronald Warren as its alternate director to the Board of Directors of the Northwest Hennepin Human Services Council. December 8, 1975 Date' Mayor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Fignar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, and Robert Jensen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
