its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 75 -233
RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION OF AND APPRECIATION
FOR THE DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE OF MR. DONALD DAVIS
WHEREAS, Mr. Donald Davis served as a member of the Human Rights
Commission from January 1973 through December 1975; and
WHEREAS, he served as Chairman of the Human Rights Commission from
January 1974 through December 1975; and
WHEREAS, his devotion to the tasks and responsibilities of this
Commission, and the leadership he provided, contributed substantially to the
sound progress and development of the City; and
WHEREAS, his public service and civic effort for the betterment of the
community merit the gratitude of the citizens of Brooklyn Center:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center that:
The dedicated public service of Mr. Donald Davis as a member
of the Human Rights Commission and citizen, is recognized
and appreciated by the City of Brooklyn Center.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by member Bill Fignar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar,
and Robert Jensen;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
