HomeMy WebLinkAbout1975-234 CCR Member Bill Fignar introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 75 -234 RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION OF AND APPRECIATION FOR THE DEDICATED PUBLIC EFFORT OF THE BROOKLYN CENTER HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION WHEREAS, the Brooklyn Center Human Rights Commission has presented the community with a handicapped accessibility booklet entitled A Guide For The Handicapped; and WHEREAS, said booklet is the culmination of over a year's effort on the part of the Commission; and WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes this project as a positive effort on the part of the Commission to meet and identify the needs and concerns of the residents of this community: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that: The dedicated public effort of the Brooklyn Center Human Rights Commission in preparing an accessibility booklet for handicapped persons is recognized and appreciated by the City of Brooklyn Center. December 22, 1975 Date Mayor G' r ATTEST• Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly S--conded by member Maurice Britts and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, and Robert Jensen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
