HomeMy WebLinkAbout1975-237 CCR Member Bill Fignar introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 75 -237 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR WATER METERS WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and the City Clerk have reported that on December 18, 1975, at 11:00 A.M., they opened and tabulated bids received for the furnishing and delivery of cold water meters and that said bids were as follows: Add'l. Cost per Meter for Remoto Base Bid Base Bid Trade -in Reading Device Allowance for Alt. A Bidder Alternate "A" Alternate "B" Per Meter Alt. "B" Badger Meter Mfg. Co. $71,757.63 $85,520.73 $4.00 $9.60 Energy Economics,Inc. No Bid 67,017.40* $4.00 No Bid *Did not include bid price for remote reading devices for compound and turbine meters listed under base bid. WHEREAS, the specifications for the water meters bid by Energy Economics, Inc., do not meet the contract specifications; and WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Director of Public Works to the satisfaction of the City Council that the bid of Badger Meter Manufacturing Co., using plastic displacement water meters under Alternate "A" Base Bid is the best bid submitted. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center,Minnesota as follows: 1) That the bids of Badger Meter Manufacturing Company for water meters under Alternate "A" Base Bid, Trade -in Allowance Per Meter, and Remote Reading Devices for Alternate "All in accordance with specifications is deemed to be the best bid submitted by'a responsible bidder and said bid is hereby accepted. 2) To authorize the Mayor and City Manager to execute a contract with Badger Meter Manufacturing Company for said bid amounts. December 22, 1975 Date Mayor` ATTEST: Clerk RESOLUTION NO. 75 -237 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Robert Jensen and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, and Robert Jensen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
