HomeMy WebLinkAbout1975-245 CCR Member Maurice Britts introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption; RESOLUTION N0.75 -245 RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 1976 GENERAL FUND BUDGET, WHEREAS, Section 7.08 of the City Charter does provide for the increase of a budget appropriation.by the City Council if the actual receipts exceed the estimates; and WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Employment Act (CETA) does provide federal financing to create temporary public service jobs to the unemployed; and WHEREAS, on October 6, 1975, the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center adopted a budget for the calendar year 1976; and WHEREAS, said budget did authorize the creation of certain CETA positions; and WHEREAS, since the adoption of the budget, the City was allocated additional funds for the CETA program to fill additional full -time positions: BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center to amend the 1976 General Fund Budget to authorize the following positions in the department and at the monthly salary stated: POSITION DEPARTMENT MONTHLY SALARY Clerk III (1) Planning Insp. /Police $605 Engineering Aid I /Insp. Aid (1) Engineefing /Planning Insp. $685; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the 1976 General Fund Budget Appropriations for salaries, Regular Employees (Object #4100) be increased in the amounts listed for the following departments to provide funding for the number of months shown: DEPARTMENT DEPT. NO. MONTHS AMOUNT Clerk III Planning Insp. (1/2) 33 6 $1,815 Police (1/2) 31 6 1,815 Engineering Aid I (1/2) Engineering 41 6 2,055 Inspection Aid (1/2) 33 6 2,055; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the source of financing for the additional appropriations in the amount of $7,740 will be the Federal CETA Grant.
