its adoption;
RESOLUTION N0.75 -245
RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 1976 GENERAL FUND BUDGET,
WHEREAS, Section 7.08 of the City Charter does provide for the increase
of a budget appropriation.by the City Council if the actual receipts exceed the
estimates; and
WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Employment Act (CETA) does provide federal
financing to create temporary public service jobs to the unemployed; and
WHEREAS, on October 6, 1975, the City Council of the City of Brooklyn
Center adopted a budget for the calendar year 1976; and
WHEREAS, said budget did authorize the creation of certain CETA positions;
and
WHEREAS, since the adoption of the budget, the City was allocated
additional funds for the CETA program to fill additional full -time positions:
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn
Center to amend the 1976 General Fund Budget to authorize the following positions
in the department and at the monthly salary stated:

Clerk III (1) Planning Insp. /Police $605
Engineering Aid I /Insp. Aid (1) Engineefing /Planning Insp. $685; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the 1976 General Fund Budget Appropriations
for salaries, Regular Employees (Object #4100) be increased in the amounts listed
for the following departments to provide funding for the number of months shown:

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Tony Kuefler and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts, Tony Kuefler,
Bill Fignar, and Robert Jensen;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
