HomeMy WebLinkAbout1974-188 CCR Member Maurice Brills introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 74 -188 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING YMCA DETACHED WORKER PROGRAM WHEREAS, the YMCA Detached Worker Program has over the years demonstrated success at modifying the behavior of delinquent and pre delinquent youth; and WHEREAS, the City Council has evaluated the advantages of establishing a Detached Worker Program in the City of Brooklyn Center; and WHEREAS, certain other agencies and City business firms have pledged considerable financial support to establish such a program in Brooklyn Center; and WHEREAS, Brooklyn Center Police authorities recommend establishment of a YMCA Detached Worker Program in Brooklyn Center: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center to authorize the establishment of a part -time YMCA Detached Worker Program in Brooklyn Center effective December 1, 1974 and to authorize the expenditure of $2,500 as Brooklyn Center's annual 1974 -75 cost for such program. r NovPmhPr 4 1974 Date f Mayor ATTEST: Clercc The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Fignar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar and Robert Jensen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
