HomeMy WebLinkAbout1974-189 CCR Member Maurice Britts introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 74 -189 RESOLUTION CONSENTING TO THE ISSUANCE OF AN AMATEUR BOXING FRANCHISE IN THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER WHEREAS, the Suburban Law Enforcement Association has made application to the State Boxing Commission to conduct amateur boxing and sparring exhibitions in the City of Brooklyn Center; and WHEREAS, pursuant to MSA 341.08, consent by certified resolution is required by the municipality in which said conduct is proposed: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Brooklyn Center City Council that the Suburban Law Enforcement Association is hereby authorized to conduct amateur boxing and sparring exhibitions in Brooklyn Center pursuant to the provisions of MSA 341.01 through 341.IS. November 4. 1974 Date Mayor ATTEST: 16lerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Fignar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar and Robert Jensen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
