adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 74 111
RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION OF AND APPRECIATION FOR
THE DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE OF THE FOURTH OF JULY CITIZENS
STEERING COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, a Citizens Steering Committee organized the 1974 Fourth of July
festivities and fireworks display; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Carl Gross acted as chairman of said committee; and
WHEREAS, numerous civic organizations participated in the coordination
of the Fourth of July activities; and
WHEREAS, such activities help to develop a sense of community effort and
contribute substantially to the sound progress and development of the City; and
WHEREAS, their public service and civic effort for the betterment of the
community merits the gratitude of the citizens of Brooklyn Center:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center that the dedicated civic effort of the Citizens Steering Committee
for their contribution to the Fourth of July festivities and fireworks display is
recognized and appreciated by the City of Brooklyn Center.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Tony Kuefler and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted
in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar and Robert Jensen;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
