HomeMy WebLinkAbout1974-116 CCR Member Bill Fignar introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 74 -116 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND APPROVING CONTRACT FORM (MSA STREET CONTRACT 1974 -E) WHEREAS, the City Clerk and the City Engineer have reported that on July 18, 1974, at 11 :00 o'clock A.M., central daylight time, they opened and tabulated bids received for Contract 1974 -E, includ- ing Street Grading, Base Surfacing Improvement Projects No. 1974 -4 and 1974 -10; Street Base Surfacing Improvement Project No. 1974 -5; Curb Gutter and Sidewalk Improvement Project No. 1974 -6; Curb Gutter Improvement Project No. 1974 -14; and Sidewalk Improvement Project No. 1974 -15; and that said bids were as follows: 1) Dunkley Surfacing Co., Inc. $176,695.44 2) Alexander Construction Co., Inc. $185,014.99 3) Bury Carlson, Inc. 187,687.46 4) C. S. McCrossan, Inc. 193,206.31 5) Hardrives, Inc. 196,807.44 6) Ashbach Construction Co. 205,005.72 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1. That the bid of Dunkley Surfacing Company, Inc., in the amount of $176,695.44, as to furnishing of all work, labor, and material in connection with the above mentioned improvement projects, according to the plans and specifi- cations therefor now on file in the office of the City Clerk, is deemed to be the lowest and best bid submitted for said work by a responsible bidder, and said bid is hereby accepted. 2. That the Mayor and City Manager be authorized to execute a contract with said bidder. 3. That the improvement funds be appropriated from the following funds and accounts: a) State Aid Construction Acct. No. 263: $163,426.24 b) Special Assessment Fund: 13,269.20 Tu_ly 22. 1974 Date Mayor ATTEST: Ai The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Robert Jens en and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar and Robert Jensen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
