HomeMy WebLinkAbout1974-123 CCR Member Robert Jensen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 74_19,:l RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1974 -23 WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed an improvement consisting of the following: Estimated Project No. Improvement Cost 1974 -23 Storm sewer in 68th Avenue North from Noble Avenue to Orchard Avenue. $8,000.00 and WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made a preliminary report advising that said proposed improvement is feasible and that it can be constructed at an estimated cost as indicated above; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted by Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes. 2. A public hearing on the proposed improvement shall be held at the City Hall in the City on Monday, the 19th day of August, 1974, at 8 :00 o'clock P.M., central daylight time, and the Clerk shall publish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks' publication in the official newspaper of the City. 3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvement con- sists of all property located within the following area: LOTS 5,6,7 8, BLOCK 1, AND LOT 1, BLOCK 3, OF MARSTAN PLACE; BLOCKS 1, 2, AND LOT 1, BLOCK 4, OF H. SMILDEN'S ADDITION; BLOCK 2 LOT 5, BLOCK 1, AND LOTS 3 4,^OF NORTHTOWN PLAZA 1ST ADDITION; AND THAT PORTION OF VACATED ORCHARD AVENUE NORTH LYING NORTHERLY OF THE WESTERLY EXTENSION OF THE SOUTH LINE OF LOT 4, BLOCK 2, NORTHTOWN PLAZA 1ST ADDITION. 4. This ro osed improvement shall be designated Storm Sewer P P P Improvement Project No. 1974 -23. August S. 1974 Date Mayor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Tony Kuefler and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts, Tony Kuefler and Robert Jensen; and the following. voted against the same: None whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
