HomeMy WebLinkAbout1974-126 CCR Member Robert Jensen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption; RESOLUTION NO. 74-12 RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 73 -207 BY SETTING CERTAIN POLICE DEPARTMENT, PARK DEPARTMENT, AND STREET AND PUBLIC UTILITIES DIVISION WAGES WHEREAS, on December 17, 1973, the Brooklyn Center City Council adopted Resolution No. 73 -207 setting wages and salaries for the year 1974; and WHEREAS, provision was made in Resolution No. 73 -207 to defer setting certain 1974 wages pending wage negotiations; and WHEREAS, on April 1, 1974, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 74 -61 which authorized the Mayor and City Manager to execute a labor agreement with Local #49 of the International Union of Operating Engineers; and WHEREAS, on July 8, 1974, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 74 -109 which authorized the Mayor and City Manager to execute a labor agreement with the Brooklyn Center Police Association: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, to amend Resolution No. 73 -207 to set salaries retroactive to January 1, 1974 as follows: DEPARTMENT GRADE OR DIVISION JOB TITLE CLASSIFICATION MONTHLY WAGE Street Division: Heavy Equipment Operator 990 Light Equipment Operator 920 Mechanic 990 Night Service Man 888 Parks and Recreation Department: Maintenance Man II 920 Public Utilities Division: Maintenance Man 975 Light Equipment Operator 920 Resolution No. 74 -12 Police Department: Investigator I/A to I/C $1131 to $1209 Investigator Assignee I/A $1131 Juvenile Officer Assignee I/A $1131 Patrol Officer P/A to P/G $854 to $1089 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED to further amend Resolution No. 73 -207: 1974 POSITION CLASSIFICATION PLAN PART I: POLICE DEPARTMENT (Monthly Salary) Position A B C D E F G Investigator $1131 $1169 $1209 Patrol Officer 854 894 933 $972 $1011 $1050 $1089 Investigator Assignee $1131 Juvenile Officer Assignee $1131 x ,a,uclust S 1974 Date Mayor ATTEST: v `clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Maurice Britts and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts, Tony Kuefler and Robert Jensen; and the following voted against the same: None whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
