HomeMy WebLinkAbout1974-139 CCR Member Maurice Britts introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 74 -139 RESOLUTION ORDERING ADDITION OF STREET SURFACING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1974 -22 AND STREET RESTORATION FOR STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1974 -23 TO CONTRACT 1974 -D WHEREAS, on May 6, 1974, the Brooklyn Center City Council awarded Contract No. 1974 -D in the amount of $29,469.75 to Dunkley Surfacing Co., Inc., on the basis of said bid being the lowest bid received; and WHEREAS, said Contract No. 1974 -D consists of Street Surfacing Improvement Projects No. 1973 -35, 1973 -37 1974 -12; and WHEREAS, Section 7 -H of the General Conditions of said contract permits the Owner, through the Engineer, to order work additions up to 25% of the total contract price without invalidat- ing the contract; and WHEREAS, the construction of Street Surfacing Improvement Project No. 1974 -22 and the street restoration for Storm Sewer Improvement Project No. 1974 -23 is similar to street surfacing construction in said contract; and WHEREAS, the total cost of work comprehended by said Improvement Projects No. 1974 -22 23, based on bid prices received for said contract, amounts to $7,348.00, and constitutes 24.9/ of the total contract amount of $29,469.75; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the City Engineer be directed to add Street Surfacing Improvement Project No. 1974 -22, and the street restoration for Storm Sewer Improvement Project No. 1974 -23, to Contract No. 1974 -D, with payment to be made in accordance with contract bid prices received. August 19, 1974 Date Mayor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Robert Jensen and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar and Robert Jensen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
