HomeMy WebLinkAbout1974-162 CCR Member Bill Fignar introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 74 -162 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF AIR COMPRESSOR (3000 PSIG) WHEREAS, Section 6:05 of the City Charter of the City of Brooklyn Center requires that the City Manager first obtain the approval of the City Council prior to making or letting contracts for the purchase of merchandise, materials or equipment, or any kind of construction work when the amount of such contract exceeds one thousand dollars ($1 ,000) but is less than twenty -five hundred dollars ($2,500); and WHEREAS, the City Manager has obtained quotations on the purchase of Air Compressor (3000 PSIG) and has determined that the quotation of Air Power Equipment Company in the amount of $2,444.00 for Air Compressor is the best quotation submitted. BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the City Manager be authorized to contract for the purchase of Air Compressor in the amount of $2,444.00 from Air Power Equipment Company. September 23, 1974 Date Mayor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Maurice Britts and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts, Bill Fignar and Robert Jensen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
