HomeMy WebLinkAbout1974-061 CCR Member Tony Kuefler introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption. RESOLUTION NO. 74 -61 RESOLUTION APPROVING LABOR AGREEMENT BETWEEN INTERNATIONAL UNION OF OPERATING ENGINEERS LOCAL #49 AFL -CIO AND THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER WHEREAS, the Public Employment Labor Relations Act of 1971 as amended in 1973 requires a written contract between an employer and the exclusive repre- sentative of certain employees; and WHEREAS, tentative agreement on master contract provisions has been reached through bargaining between a committee of the Metropolitan Area Manage- ment Association and a committee of Local #49 of the International Union of Operating Engineers; and WHEREAS, tentative agreement on non master local contract provisions has been reached through bargaining between the City Manager and a representative of Brooklyn Center members of Local #49 of the International Union of Operating Engineers: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota to approve and adopt by reference as though incorporated herein the document entitled LABOR AGREEMENT BETWEEN INTERNATIONAL UNION OF OPERATING ENGINEERS LOCAL #49, AFL -CIO AND CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER dated April 8, 1974, three copies of which shall be on file and available for inspection in the office of the City Clerk. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized to execute said labor agreement on behalf of the City of Bro nter. April 8, 1974 Date Mayor ATTE ST C ter The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Fignar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts Bill Fignar, Tony Kuefler and Robert Jensen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
