RESOLUTION NO. 74 -63
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED
WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1974 -11 AND PROPOSED
STREET SURFACING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1974 -12
WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed improve-
ments consisting of the following:

Project No. Improvement Cost
1974 -11 Water main in France Avenue North from
63rd Avenue to Halifax Drive, and Halifax
Drive from Grimes Avenue North to Brooklyn
Boulevard. $19,900.00
1974 -12 Street surfacing on France Avenue North from
63rd Avenue to Halifax Drive, and Halifax
Drive from approximately 50 feet west of
Grimes Avenue North to Brooklyn Boulevard. $13,500.00
and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made a preliminary report
advising at said proposed improvements 9' P p are feasible and that
they can be constructed at estimated costs as indicated above;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows:
1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted
by Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes.
2. A public hearing on the proposed improvements shall be
held at the City Hall in the City on Monday, the 6th day of May,
1974, at 8:00 o'clock P.M., central daylight time, and the Clerk
shall publish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks'
publication in the official newspaper of the City.
3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvements
is as follows:
ALL LOTS AND PARCELS ABUTTING THE ABOVE DESCRIBED STREETS
AND /OR TO BE BENEFITTED BY THE IMPROVEMENTS.

4. These proposed improvements shall.be designated Water
Main Improvement Project No. 1974 -11 and Street Surfacing Improve-
ment Project No. 1974 -12.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by member Maurice Britts and upon vote being taken
thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen,
Maurice Britts, Bill Fignar, Tony Kuefler and Robert Jensen;
and the following voted against the same:none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
