HomeMy WebLinkAbout1974-093 CCR Member Maurice Britts introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 74 -93 RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 73 -207 RELATING TO 1974 POLICE DEPARTMENT MANAGEMENT WAGES WHEREAS, on December 17, 1973 the Brooklyn Center City Council adopted Resolution No. 73 -207 setting wages and salaries for the year 1974; and WHEREAS, provision was made in Resolution No. 73 -207 to defer setting certain 1974 wages pending wage negotiations; and WHEREAS, 1974 wages for members of the Brooklyn Center Police Association bargaining unit have been established through the statutory binding arbitration process; and WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that he has met and conferred regarding wages with the management members of the Brooklyn Center Police Department, who are not members of the Police Association bargaining unit; and WHEREAS, it is the City Manager's recommendation to enact the Police Department management members' wages retroactive to January 1, 1974: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota to amend Resolution No. 73 -207 retroactive to January 1, 1974 as follows: 14ONTHLY WAGE OR DEPARTMENT JOB TITLE GRADE CLASSIFICATION HOURLY RATE P o l i c e_D_epartme_n t Chief $1430 Deputy Chief $1425 Lieutenant $1305 Sergeant (4) S/A to S/C $1145 to $1265 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED to further amend Resolution No. 73 -207: 1974 POSITION CLASSIFICATION PLAN PART I: POLICE DEPARTMENT (Monthly Salary) Position A B C D E F G Sergeant $1145 $1205 $1265 Resolution No. 74 -93 Tune 17. 1974 Date r' Mayor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Fignar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar and Robert Jensen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
