HomeMy WebLinkAbout1974-014 CCR Member Robert Jensen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 74 -14 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING JET CLEANING AND TELEVISING OF SANITARY SEWER LINE IN JAMES AVENUE NORTH FROM 53RD AVENUE TO 55TH AVENUE NORTH WHEREAS, Section 6.05 of the City Charter of the City of Brooklyn Center requires that the City Manager first obtain the approval of the City Council prior to making or letting contracts for the purchase of merchandise, materials, or equipment, or any kind of construction work when the amount of such contract exceeds one thousand dollars ($1 ,000.00), but is less than twenty -five hundred dollars ($2 500.00); and WHEREAS, the City Manager has obtained quotations for the jet cleaning and televising of the sanitary sewer line in James Avenue North from 53rd Avenue to 55th Avenue North, and has determined that the quotation of Plaunt Anderson in the amount of $1 530.00 for the above stated work is the best quotation submitted; BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the City Manager be authorized to contract for the jet cleaning and televising of the sanitary sewer line in James Avenue North from 53rd Avenue to 55th Avenue North, in the amount of $1 530. 00, with Plaunt Anderson. January 7, 1974 Date Mayor ATTEST. 4tz 'Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Maurice Britts; and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts, Bill Fignar, Tony Kuefler and Robert Jensen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
