HomeMy WebLinkAbout1974-031 CCR Member Maurice Britts introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 74 -31 RESOLUTION ENDORSING LEGISLATION REQUIRING RENTAL HOUSING OWNERSHIP DISCLOSURE WHEREAS, the identity of owner or manager of rental dwelling units is essential to the successful enforcement of various housing, building, fire prevention, and housing maintenance codes: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota as follows: 1 The City Council supports legislation which would require disclosure of identity of owner and manager of rental dwelling units. 2. The legislative representatives of the people of Brooklyn Center are herewith called upon to support any such legislation and the City Clerk is hereby directed to transmit copies of this resolution to the aforementioned legislators, the chairman of appropriate legislative committees, and to the GoverW of the State of Minnesota. February 4 1974 Date Mayor ATTEST: Clerc- The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Fignar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts Bill Fignar, Tony Kuefler and Robert Jensen; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
