adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 74 -37
RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 1974 GENERAL FUND BUDGET,
WHEREAS, Section 7.08 of the City Charter of the City of Brooklyn Center
does provide that the City Council may, by a majority vote of its members,
transfer unencumbered appropriation balances from one office, department or
agency to another within the same Fund; and
WHEREAS, on October 1, 1973, when the City Council adopted the 1974
budget, labor negotiations had not been completed with City employees; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did appropriate funds for departmental labor in
the amount of $85,000 to Unallocated Departmental Labor to provide funds for
final wage settlements; and
WHEREAS, on December 17, 1973, the City Council did set salaries for the
year 1974 for City employees, except for certain Police, Parks and Recreation,
and Public Works personnel whose salaries were extended at either 1973 or 1972
rates pending completion of salary negotiations:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center to transfer $43,089 from the Unallocated Departmental Labor
appropriation (Account No. 497 -10) to the following departmental appropriations
in the amount shown:
Mayor and Council Labor (Account No. 401 -10) $2,340
Administrative Office Labor (Account No. 4051 -10) 6,696
Office of the Assessor Labor (Account No. 4053 -10) 1,407
Finance Department Labor (Account No. 4054 -10) 3,981
Government Buildings Labor (Account No. 409 -10) 3,960
Elections Labor (Account No. 404 -10) 96
Civil Defense Labor (Account No. 415 -10) 396
Police Protection Labor (Account No. 411 -10) 2,280

RESOLUTION NO. 74 -37
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Robert Jensen and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts, Bill Fignar, Tony Kuefler
and Robert Jensen;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
