HomeMy WebLinkAbout1974-041 CCR Member Robert Jensen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO 74 -41 RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED STREET GRADING, BASE SURFACING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1974 -10 WHEREAS, it is proposed that there be constructed an improve- ment consisting of the following: Protect No. Improvement Estimated Cost 1974 -10 Street grading, base and surfacing on proposed Earle Brown Drive from Summit Drive North to approximately 2,000 ft. northeasterly. $39,000.00 and WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made a preliminary report advis- ing that said proposed improvement is feasible and that it can be con- structed at the estimated cost indicated above. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted by Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes. 2. A public hearing on the proposed improvement shall be held at the City Hall in the City on Monday, the 8th day of April, 1974, at 8 :00 o'clock P.M., central daylight time, and the Clerk shall publish notice of the time and place of hearing by two weeks' publication in the official newspaper of the City. 3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvement, according to Council policy established in Resolution No. 70 -90 adopted July 13, 1970, is as follows: All property lying south of F.A.I. 94 bounded on the east by T.H. 100, on the south by R.L.S. No. 1256 and T.H. 100, and on the west by a line located 100 feet east of and parallel with Shingle Creek. 4. This proposed improvement shall be designated Street Grading, Base Surfacing Improvement Pro ject -'_l -974 March_ 1_ 1 19 7 4 Date e' Mayor ATTEST: y Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Tony Kuefler and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Philip Cohen, Maurice Britts, Tony Kuefler and Robert Jensen; and the following voted against the same:none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
